Macular degeneration is a progressive eye disease that has a wet form and a dry form and it is the leading cause of blindness in people over the age of 55. People with age related macular degeneration can have difficulty reading, trouble driving, and eventually even difficulty recognizing faces.

This eye disease affects a portion of your eye called the macula and if affects your central vision. You may experience a blurred spot or dark circle in your central vision.
